Welcome to Pinot's Pod, our peaceful corner of Akaroa. Alan works in local real estate, and Penny teaches at the nearby school. We’re both proud to call Akaroa home and love sharing its charm with guests. In 2019, we secured one of the last available sections in town and brought our vision to life. We wanted to design a holiday home that could be a house and not a house that becomes a holiday home. The result is our Micro Macro Pod home a cozy, modern retreat shaped by the inspired design of Greg Young of Young Architects. It’s a space built for calm, the sun, and a touch of Peninsula magic.

And then there’s Pinot, the true host of the pod and the real boss around here. He keeps a close eye on things and may even grace you with a visit. We hope you feel right at home and enjoy everything Akaroa has to offer.
